about
Yard Sale explores the realm of spectral paranoia: through the lens of digital messengers, the project represents a combined effort in examining each artist's own esoteric space. Processed sonic artefacts are transformed beyond their physical, organic essence.
With the help of homemade granular software and timbre-transfer techniques, this project aims to redefine the 'slow chugger' genre, where surgical cuts and obsessive sound mangling act as protagonists in a non-existent future scenario.
Y.S. is a critical inquiry into the subtle nuances of digital audio manipulation, in a realm where the familiar is morphed into the eerily unfamiliar.

Wonderfully, subtly strange. This is an eminently listenable experimental album, eschewing the tactic of being audibly difficult or off-putting (which is totally valid, btw :p) in favour of teasing memorable melodies out of the merest sounds and distortions. Ambient fans shouldn't overlook this unassuming gem, for it's cloudy surface hides many facets. Ben Harris
UK producer Morwell contrasts euphoric footwork with dissonant, dread-laden techno in a highly texturized tug-of-war. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 7, 2021
Debut solo EP from Hylu of the Unit 137 sound crew; deconstructed jungle rhythms co-mingle with instrumental hip-hop and dub grooves.

These kind of experimentation with rhythmic syncopation fit my musical taste buds like a meal were i lick my plate clean so the vinyl pre-order of this gem = done.
Very highly recommended. Finn of Tomland
